Jing Li Si is an office set up by most central and local government offices in Ming Dynasty.Officials set up by the Jing Li Si include jinggli,zhishi or dushi.Jingli handles the affairs of the department,ranking from five to eight.Zhishi and dushi assist jingli to manage the department,and the rank of zhishi ranges from seven to nine.The ranks of officials in different organizations are different.Jing Li Si is responsible for the receipt and issuance of documents.The smooth operation of official documents is of great significance in the process of exerting the functions of state organs,so Jing Li Si which is responsible for the receipt and dispatch of documents plays a key role.In addition,Jing Li Si is responsible for assisting the competent officials in dealing with the internal affairs of the Yarnen,involving political,economic,military and cultural aspects,and plays an important role in the functioning of the department.In order to ensure the full play of its functions,the Ming Dynasty managed the selection,promotion,assessment and treatment of the officials of the Registrar.The officials of Jing Li Si are selected by recommendation,imperial examinaton,school and minor officials.The promotion of the officials is basically reasonable,including promotion to six ministries,other central agencies,internal agencies and local government offices.Examination of officials includes full examination and inspection,which can play a certain role of incentive and supervision.According to the regulations of the Ming Dynasty,the officials enjoyed all kinds of political and economic treatment given by the court on the basis o their grade.
