With the increasingly serious energy depletion and environmental pollution problems,the search for new energy resources,especially clean energy,is a top priority for the world.This translation material is excerpted from Series:Sustainable Energy Developments:Geothermal Wind and Solar Energy Applications in Agriculture and Aquaculture.The book introduces the current applications of new energies in agriculture and aquaculture which provides certain reference for future research.With the guidance of Skopos theory,the translation report focuses on E-C translation of geothermal energy,wind energy and solar energy in agriculture and aquaculture.It is divided into four chapters.Chapter One introduces the translation task,including source of the text,characteristics of the text and the research background and significance.Chapter Two introduces the translation process,including preparation,translation process and quality control;Chapter Three is about case analysis which analyzes how the principles of purpose,faithfulness and coherence are integrated into the practice of translation through examples.Finally,the translator summarizes the experience and lessons learned from the translation and points out the unsolved problems in the translation practice.When translating scientific texts,the translator should combine translation methods and strategies to make the language of translation unobstructed under the guidance of Skopos theory.This report is hoped to make a contribution to domestic sustainable energy research and to provide a reference for E-C translation of scientific text.
