Research On Narrative Ethics Of The Sixth-generation Directors' Films

Film plays an important role in the education of literature and art.The debate over how the film should promote virtues and condemn vices never ended.From the perspective of narrative ethnic criticism,this paper studies on the film texts of the 6th generation of directors in China and probes into their narrative ethical implications,ethnical narrative strategies and the underlying reasons so as to explore the authenticity and legitimacy of these director's description on human nature.The paper falls into four parts.The introduction part sorts out the background and the status of research.The first chapter focuses on the narrative ethical implication of the film texts of 6th generation of directors.From the perspective of collective ethics,this part analyzes the rebellious performance of their works,that is,breaking the traditional aesthetics,moving towards"ugliness appreciation",pursuing relative justice and highlighting non-heroic death.From the perspective of individual ethics,the 6th generation of directors tend to describe the "body liberation" of the narrative objects and the abnormal orientation of love and marriage.The second part elaborates the expression strategies of the ethical narrative used by the 6th generation of directors.First,they emphasize the analysis of the narrative dimensions,tend to choose the rough narrative space and the ethnically dissociated narrative objects and set a surreal film ending to avoid the fateful and final evaluation.Second,from the perspective of audio-visual language,this paper analyzes the ethical narrative forms of these directors by combining sound,picture,light and shadow,color,and other elements and holds that these directors protect the folk narrative ethics by preserving the authenticity of dialect dialogues.Through the contrast of sound and painting,ethical conflicts are created.Through light and shadow change and contrast of color and grey,ethical situations are constructed and ethical metaphors are created.The third chapter analyzes the cause of the ecological circle of narrative of the 6th generation of directors.The author holds that the traditional cultural ethics,the western post-modernism trend of thought and the diversity of the audience's ethical appeals work together to influence the narrative ethical expression of these directors.On the other hand,based on the expression desire of the 6th generation of directors themselves,the reasons for their narrative ethics are explored from their marginalized life experience and their adherence or compromise between artistry and commerciality in film creation.This paper argues that the film narrative ethical criticism is a new discourse mode of literary criticism,which aims to re-examine the ethical expression attitude in the film texts in the works of these 6th generation of directors from a new perspective.Artistic aesthetics is based on perceptual experience and should be open and inclusive.We should face up to the ethical expression of these directors and think highly of their courage to face ethical dilemma,instead of transferring the traditional moral accusation to their narrative ethics in their works.
