A Study On Zhang Zhizhong’S Thought Of Peace

Zhang Zhizhong,the former senior Kuomintang general,is Chiang Kai-shek’s important crony.He has been devoting himself to achieving peace and unity of motherland in his whole life.Known as the "Peace General",he has never fought with the Communist Party and sincerely supported Sun Yat-sen’s three major policies of "joining-Russia,uniting Communist,and Supporting the farmers" and practicing it.Zhang zhizhong’s peaceful thought is based on Sun Yat-sen’s three major policies,and mainly influenced by the replacement of the old and the new times and his personal growth experience.During the struggle of the Kuomintang and the Communist Party,he advocated cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party.He participated in the negotiations of the Kuomintang and the Communist Party many times.From the cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party during the Great Revolution to the final Peiping peace talks,Zhang Zhizhong made important contributions to the peace of the Kuomintang and the Communist Party and spared no effort to run for peace.His peaceful thought has a great embodiment in his military and political career.This article is divided into three parts to talk about Zhang Zhizhong’s peaceful thought.The first part mainly talks about the background of Zhang Zhizhong’s peaceful thoughts,and analyse the causes from his growing environment and educational background.The second part will talk about the manifestation of Zhang Zhizhong’s peaceful thought in his military and political career.During the period of the Great Revolution,he urged the cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party.In the latter part of the Anti-Japanese War,he went to Yan’an three time to participate the Chongqing peace talks and promoted the "Double Ten Agreement".On the eve of liberation,he participated in the peace talks in Beiping,and save the relationship between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party.In the final part I will analyze the characteristics and influence of Zhang Zhizhong’s peaceful thoughts and the evaluation of peace thoughts.I will elaborate on Zhang Zhizhong’s peaceful thought’s great influence on the history of the Kuomintang and Communist Party relationship from the resistance to external and peace to internal.Reconciling the relationship between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party and promoting the joint efforts of the KMT and the CPC.And Finally I will make a concrete evaluation of Zhang Zhizhong’s peaceful thoughts.
