Research On The Aesthetic Culture Of Wu Zetian’s Films And TV Dramas

Empress Wu Zetian is not only an influential man in the long history of China but also an attractive role played in many movies.In 1939,since the first movie on Wu Zetian released,films and television dramas on Wu Zetian have never been interrupted during past hundreds years,In recent years more can be said to be a flock of potential.On the one hand,TV drama as a new art has its own artistic characteristics.On the other hand,it is also a special spiritual and cultural phenomenon.It contains rich Chinese traditional culture and national spirit.This paper is based on the Wu Zetian theme film and television drama,and the perspective of aesthetic culture,combination of narrative,sociology,psychology theory,through profound analysis of theme implication,character phenomenon,narrative strategy,and culture to get well understand of aesthetic characteristics in Wu Zetian movies and to think about the pros and cons in the development process,finally put forward opinions and suggestions for the development of this kind of TV drama.In terms of Wu Zetian’s image,it changed over time.Comparing her different image in historical books,folktales,literature and TV dramas,clarify more clearly his image in TV dramas from maid to concubine to queen,finally became Empress.When talking about theme implication,this thesis reveals the theme from three points:man’s power versus woman’s power;power versus love;humanity versus dignity.In terms of narrative strategy,it not only retains rational spirit and tragic implication of traditional narration,but also has peculiar narrative style of film and television art.In the terms of culture,this paper is to analyze the application of traditional culture in Wu Zetian TV and movies series from language and clothes.This can provide directive advice for future development of TV dramas.Wu Zetian TV dramas combines traditional culture and modern fashion element,it not only bring visual impact to the audience,also showed the great prosperity of the Tang Dynasty.With this field culture vision,digging and using traditional cultural resources in the China film and television will be an important development direction in the future.
