A Study On The "Orbital" Phenomenon In The Word Order Of Uyghur From The Perspective Of Typology

Under the guidance of Marxist theory,the phenomenon of "orbital" in Uyghur word order is studied and analyzed in this paper.The "orbital" phenomenon in word order refers to the fact that multiple linguistic units belonging to the same category in a language will be in different orbits when arranged around the core words,which is a universal phenomenon in human language.Studying the universals between different languages is the main content of linguistic typology.From the perspective of typology and under the guidance of the orbital theory put forward by Lu Bingfu,the "orbital" phenomenon in the morphology and syntax of Uyghur language will be analyzed and the similarities between Uyghur language and other languages will be found.Studying the "orbital" phenomenon in Uyghur language can not only verify the similarities between Uyghur language and other languages while also enriching the previous theoretical research,but also play an important role in the second language teaching.Based on the current research status of linguistic typology in China,the following contents from the perspective of Uyghur word order were discussed: first,the six word order types of Uyhgur simple sentences and the reasons for the flexible word order were introduced,and the basic word order,namely SOV,is the base of studying the "orbital" phenomenon in Uyghur language.Second,the connotation of the orbital theory and the components of the orbital structure was discussed in this part.Third,the multiple inflectional suffixes attached to the Uyghur nominal categories are arranged in the order of noun-numeral-personal-case.That is because humans have a tendency to regard the combination with great correlation as a stable whole,the closer to the noun,the easier is to form a more stable structure with the noun.The multiple inflectional suffixes attached to the verbs are arranged in the order of verb-voice-aspect-negation-tense-person,which is mainly caused by the principle of semantic proximity,the closer the suffixes is attached to the verb semantically,the closer it is to the verb formally.Fourth,the multiple attributives of Uyghur language are generally arranged in the order of noun – adjective – postposition – numeral – classifier – demonstrative-place – time-ownship,which is related to the principle of semantic proximity and the principle of distinctiveness,the closer the semantic components are,the closer they are in form and components which has the higher degree of certainty,the more likely it is to occur first in a discourse.Multiple adverbials are generally arranged in the order of verb-subject indicated/manner-period of time-tool/object-place-point of time,which is mainly related to the principle of semantic proximity(the degree of influence of adverbials on the nature of verbs).In the last of the thesis,the characteristics of the "orbital" phenomenon in the Uyghur language(such as the position of the voice and the interrogative mood attached to the verbs,and the position of period of time adverbials)were briefly analyzed.
