The Study On The System Of Common Verb Meaning In Guan Zi

Guanzi is an important legalism text in pre-Qin,which involves political,economic,cultural,military,astronomy,geography,even Yin Yang.It is so extensive that covered all aspects of production and life in that time,which is important for the study of Chinese of pre-Qin.Moreover,the common verbs in Guanzi reflect the situation of the elder verbs broadly.its meaning system had completed.From the classification and extension of the meaning of common verbs,this article gives some analysis and summarization of the common verbs in Guanzi.On this basis,it makes some recommendation to the revision of "Chinese Dictionary".The body portion of this paper consists of four parts:Chapter one,it mainly introduces the significance of the topic,research status,the research methods,version selection,the screening criteria of language material,the definition of common verbs and so on.What is more,it also introduces the general situation of common verbs and their distribution in Guanzi.Chapter two,it consists of the polymerization of the meaning classes of the common verbs in Guanzi.Firstly,it introduces the division basis of the polymerization of the class of meaning.Secondly,the common verbs can be divided into three types on the based of the general facts of the common verbs in Guanzi,body movements,social behaviors and the natural environment.Then it can be further divided according to each situation.Chapter three,on the basis of chapter one and chapter two,this thesis shows that the common verbs in Guanzi can be classified as two kinds:univocal words and polysemous words,in according to the usage of the meaning of these words.Also it focuses on selecting some typical polysemous verbs,and discusses the ways of its meaning extending and reasons.Chapter four,based on the research of meaning system of previous chapters",We can revise the "Chinese Dictionary" from three aspects: missing word,negligence of the definition,deletions of quotes,which contains 48 entry.
