"Green" in the ancient Chinese and modern Chinese is used as an adjective,but sometimes can be utilized into verb and noun."AA double Green" is the state adjective."AA double Green" has the meaning of degree,but in the fact in the Beijing University corpus " colorful double green " can be followed by degree adverb."Green" in the ancient Chinese can act as attributive,predicate,object,subject,complement and adverbial.The number of "Green" in the ancient Chinese acts as adverbial sentences in Ancient Chinese Corpus is relatively small,it usually is used together with other component act as adverbial.According to Beijing University Corpus,"green" in modern Chinese corpus can act as attributive,predicate,object and adverbial."Double green" mainly be acted as attributive in a sentence,in addition,"double green" can also be acted as adverbial."Green" can be used with he "red","green","flower" both in the ancient Chinese and in modern Chinese."Double red/double light green/double flower and double Green" can represent the feelings of love,can also be expressed disgust,sarcasm feelings,can also be used to emphasize to tell things complicated features both in ancient Chinese and in modern Chinese."Double white/double yellow and double green" these two words don’t exist in the the corpus of ancient Chinese.In modern Chinese,the "green" can be overlapped with the words that usually be appeared together in one sentence,although these words were used together with "green" in the ancient Chinese,it didn’t appear the usage of "A double green".The number of "green" with Reduplicated morpheme words is totally 18 in the ancient Chinese.The number of "green" in modern Chinese corpus Reduplicated language is known as 13.The number of new generation of Reduplicated morpheme is 10.There are 3 passed down from the ancient Chinese,namely: green envelops,dark green,glittering green.The composition types of Ancient Chinese corpus "Green and reduplicated morpheme" are two.The composition types of modern Chinese corpus "Green and reduplicated morpheme" can be divided into three categories."Green AA" this format means even dark green color and nearly black.The format of "Green" and "red" is most frequently,and the corpus is the most abundant.Followed by "green" and "green" mix.Finally,"green" and "yellow" mix.The evolution path of "Green" can be summarized as: color →on behalf of that appearance,on behalf of wine and other liquids → plants → the change of mood.The meaning of "Red A Green B" is not the simple sum of two words meaning,but the formation of a whole new meaning.Red and green here is not just on behalf of color,and more with the thoughts and feelings of the speaker given.Because of the gradation of physical attributes of color,different regions,different cultures,different nationalities in terms of the use of color show similarities,but because of different gender,different ways of thinking,at the time of the alleged color of things,there are some differences between male and female.For example,when the alleged other things belonging to the green line,men tend to use "deep","light","light" to that extent,female tend to use "things’ name + green" to express the color."Green hat","postman","green leaf","Green Camp" these four words already exist in the ancient Chinese words."Green light" "turned green" are the new vocabulary in modern Chinese words.We find that the emergence of new words with green in modern Chinese are related primarily with the environment,physical and mental health of people.
