Painting is a kind of visual art.The language of painting is the state and image shown in the picture,and it is a special means of conveying th e painter’s thoughts.At the same time,due to the different brushwork,col or and media used in painting,the language features are also different.Si nce its introduction into the west,watercolor painting has taken root and s prouted on Chinese soil,and gradually found a development path with Ch inese cultural characteristics.The language of its expression has strong na tional characteristics.The application of figurative language in Chinese w atercolor painting reflects the inheritance and development of Chinese tra ditional culture in the process of exploring the language of watercolor pai nting.It is both traditional and contemporary,reflecting people’s reflectio n on the contemporary society.Its appearance broadens the expression for m of watercolor painting language;Enriched the painting language of wat ercolor painting(such as water color language,modeling language,creati on language);Gives the Chinese watercolor art the unique language char m.However,at present,there are relatively few works about the ideograp hic language of watercolor painting,and part of the discussion on the ideo graphic language of watercolor painting only stays on the simple painting techniques,and its painting characteristics and artistic expression techniques have not received extensive attention and systematic research.Theref ore,it will be the research focus and innovation point of this paper to syst ematically sort out the characteristics and development direction of the fi gurative language of Chinese contemporary watercolor painting and discu ss the social significance of the figurative language of watercolor painting.This paper mainly studies the ideographic language of Chinese water color painting from six aspects.The first part is the introduction,which d etails the research purpose and significance of this paper,and analyzes an d summarizes the status quo of the research on the ideographic language of watercolor painting at home and abroad.The second part is the researc h background of this paper,that is,from the semantic interpretation of "i mage" to a brief overview of the history of the development of the ideogr aphic language of watercolor painting.The third part focuses on the inter pretation of the characteristics of the aesthetic spirit and expression form of the expressive language of watercolor painting.The fourth part is the s pecific analysis of the language of water color,modeling language and cr eation language,trying to summarize the most essential characteristics of the language of water color painting.The fifth part mainly aims at the cas e analysis to express the emotion and aesthetics of Chinese contemporary watercolor painters.In the last part of the conclusion,the author will sum marize and summarize the whole,and point out the necessity of systemati cal study on the ideographic language of Chinese contemporary watercolor painting.
