| English writing is an essential embodiment of learners’ ability to use the language comprehensively,with its dual attributes of instrumentality and humanity.The neglect of humanity is not conducive to the full play of the educational values of the English subject,and it also makes the teaching of English writing in high school inefficient for a long time.Therefore,it is necessary to study systematically the teaching of English writing in high school based on humanity.By reading topic-related literature,the author understands the research status of humanity and teaching English writing in high school and further determines the research direction.Meanwhile,the author enters the high school English classroom to observe and record the teaching of writing,and uses the authentic classroom cases as supporting materials.This study clarifies the humanistic connotations of English teaching,namely,the guidance on values,the improvement of thinking qualities,the optimization of behavioral modes.The connotations are manifested as follows: the teaching objectives aim for well-rounded individuals;the teaching contents express the clues of meaning construction;the teaching process displaysthe human development;the teaching evaluations respect the dynamic formation of human nature.The study further summarizes the problems of neglecting humanity in real teaching,including the need to update the values,improve the thinking qualities and perfect the behavioral patterns.At the same time,the study analyzes the causes of the problems.Finally,the study puts forward the strategies of fulfilling humanity,mainly consisting of correctly understanding the humanistic nature of teaching English writing,properly positioning students’ roles,enriching the humanity of teaching contents,transforming the evaluation concepts and perfecting the evaluation system as well as improving teachers’ own humanistic qualities.The study is expected to enrich the theory and practice of combining humanity with teaching English writing in high school. |
