The rapid development of the Internet is constantly changing people’s lives.Due to the nature of the Internet and adolescents’ susceptibility to cyberbullying, cyberbullying has become a common phenomenon among adolescents.Cyberbullying refers to an aggressive behavior in which individuals or groups intentionally and repeatedly harm others who are unable to protect themselves through communication tools such as computers and mobile phones.A large number of previous studies have shown that violence exposure has an important impact on aggressive behaviors. As a new type of aggression, cyberbullying has a great overlap with actual aggression, which means that violence exposure may also have an impact on cyberbullying. In this study,1645 adolescents were selected as subjects, and the cyberbullying questionnaire, violence exposure questionnaire and aggressive beliefs scale were used to conduct a questionnaire survey to analyze the status of cyberbullying behavior, the characteristics of violence exposure and aggressive beliefs of teenagers. And to explore the relationship between cyberbullying behaviors and violence exposure levels among adolescents, the mediating effect of aggressive beliefs and their gender differences. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Boys’ cyberbullying behavior is significantly more than that of girls;cyberbullying behavior increases gradually from junior one to senior two,and decreases in senior three, and is significantly less than that in senior one and senior two.(2)Violence exposure and aggressive beliefs have a significant positive impact on adolescents’ cyberbullying behavior.(3)Violence exposure not only directly affects adolescents’ cyberbullying, but also indirectly affects adolescents’ cyberbullying by affecting aggressive beliefs.(4)Gender regulates the second half of the mediating process of violence exposure-aggressive beliefs-cyberbullying.The mediating effect of aggressive beliefs of boys is greater than that of girls.
