The the impact of network situation is expanding with its widespread use. With the idea provided by Embodied cognition, the interaction between human body and the environment in the network situation decreases, which may affect the style of cognitive. The network situation is quite different from non-network situation, that rarely relies on facial communication. It may leads to the dissimilation of the recognition of facial emotion. The study intends to study the characteristics of facial emotion perception in network context with two purposes: on the one hand,it explores the influence of network environment and non-network environment on basic cognitive activities;on the other hand,it helps to explain people’s behavior in network situation nowaday. In this study, three experiments are designed to explore the effects of both different stages and different situations on general network users’ facial emotional perception, which by using network-related words and non-network-related daily words as enablement material of situation. In the first study, the priming paradigm was used to investigate whether there were differences in the responses of general Internet users to facial emotional perception in the network and non-network situations.Study 2 and study 3 used the visual search paradigm to study whether the differences in face emotion perception between general Internet users in the online and non-online situations appeared in the alert stage or the dissociation stage. The following conclusions are drawn from the study:(1)The use of the Internet did affect users’ perception. There are differences in facial emotion perception between online and non-online situations.Perception ability of facial emotion in network situation is weaker than that in non-network situation.(2)Attention bias to negative information exists in both network and non-network situations. This tendency is much more obviously founded in network situations.(3)The difference is the result of the interaction of rapid orientation of attention and difficulty-free.
