Family language planning as one of the microscopic fields of language policy and language research,parents play a very important role in children’s language learning,which involves how parents treat the relationship between national common language,national minority language,national dialect and foreign language,how to plan various languages concretely,and how effective they are.This article takes Guangzhou Tianhe District and Yuexiu District as the investigation areas,takes all kinds of schools as the basis,takes the parents of primary school students as the investigation object,through the questionnaire survey method,the interview method to investigate the primary school student family language plan.First,it investigates parents’ attitudes to various planning languages and how to plan their family language in terms of use,use of objects,length of use,and parental involvement and commitment.Secondly,the correlation analysis is carried out from the aspects of grade,parent’s occupation,family income and parent’s education level,and it is concluded that these factors are related to the various languages of planning.Again from the student’s point of view to investigate the parents’ planning is basically in line with the students’ growth pattern,parents can achieve a certain degree of interaction with students,but there are also unreasonable planning content,showing The wrong trend in using between the national common language and dialect,;and showing the relatively unbalanced problem between national common language and foreign language.Finally,it summarizes the current situation and problems of parents’ language planning,and puts forward some suggestions from four aspects of government,school,society and parents.On the government side,it is necessary to formulate specific targeted policies for family language,strengthen language supervision,and establish the Family Language Planning and Guidance Department.In schools,implement national policies while paying attention to the development of language features in schools,allowing students to use languages that are not common to the State language,and communicating with parents.In terms of parents,we should first establish a correct view of language,respect students’ different language interests,do a good job in guiding work,rational planning of language,timely adjustment and pay attention to students’ mental health.
