| As a literary phenomenon,the “Story Retold” phenomenon refers to a kind of literary form in which Chinese contemporary writers reinterpret and describe the myths and legends,the wild history,the celebrity anecdotes,the historical romance and other subject matter in a subjective way.This paper selects Liu Yichang and Li Bihua’s Story Retold creation as a sample of the Story Retoldin Hong Kong.Through the "new" of the two people’s "new" in the expression of "same" in the narrative structure,narrative perspective and the concept of time and space,a comparative analysis of the Hong Kong time and space and modern concepts behind appears in the new story.In the inquiry,we found that the Story Retold phenomenon in Hong Kong gradually showed a trend of classicization.From the "cultural desert" to the "flower of the desert",Liu Yichang and Li Bihua’s new creations of Story Retoldprovided Hong Kong literature with two trends leading to the classics: "doing experiments" and "telling stories." While exploring the difficulty and limitation of rewriting within the Story Retold,this paper also pays attention to the overall influence of the changes of the times and media on the new development of the Story Retold phenomenon and while observing the story in the context of the new era,new media and new ideas,new developments,new forms and new values of Story Retold phenomena appears. |
