A Practice Report On The Chinese Translation Of "General Technical Requirements And Test Methods For Explosion-proof Electrical Apparatus"

As the cooperation between China and Russia in the field of science and technology continues to deepen,related engineering projects continue to grow,and the translation requirements for local standard documents are also improved.The author completed the practice report on the chinese translation based on the translation project “General Technical Requirements and Test Methods for Explosion-Proof Electrical Apparatus” involved during the internship.The original text is a Russian standard technical document,covering many aspects of the field of explosion-proof electric apparatus.The author carries out translation work according to the process of pre-translation,translation and post-translation.First of all,the author prepares for translation from text processing and parallel text reading,and further explore the pragmatic translation concept and the theory of text types by comparing ordinary and special scientific texts.The focus of this Chinese translation practice report is the case analysis part.On the one hand,it will combine the specific translation cases from the vocabulary and sentence level,and analyze the translation problems: how to choose the meaning of the word,how to make the explicit logic relationship of the sentence implicit;on the other hand,the author intends to analyze the translation proof process and discuss how to correctly understand the original professional content and accurately adjust the logical relationship between sentences by drawing on parallel text and logic analysis.Finally,the author reflects on the translation practice,combined with the author’s analysis of the translation process,summed up the shortcomings of translation,and deeply realized the significance of the translation practice.
