Chinese characters are indispensable teaching contents in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.They are important tools for learners of Chinese as a foreign language to read Chinese materials,understand China’s current situation and perceive China’s charm.Each Chinese character initially contains more or less character formation culture.With the evolution of Chinese character form,there are many constructional cultures in modern Chinese characters that can help students learn and memorize Chinese characters effectively.We can rely on these constructional cultures to teach Chinese characters with appropriate methods and modes and simplify Chinese character memorization.In this paper,1604 modern Chinese characters in HSK Vocabulary and Character Grading Level are taken as the research scope.The qualitative and quantitative analysis of the structure of modern Chinese characters in the scope is carried out.The effective degree of effective expression of meaning and pronunciation,and then discussed the teaching methods adapted to various types of Chinese characters.The paper is divided into five parts.The introduction mainly elaborates the purpose,significance,scope,methods and related basic theories of this study.The first chapter mainly summarizes and discusses the related research on Chinese character culture,Chinese character configuration culture and teaching Chinese characters to foreigners.In the second chapter,the application of Chinese character configuration culture in teaching is sorted out by taking the research of Coining Chinese Characters,Word-building and Motivation in the applied theory of teaching Chinese characters to foreigners as examples.The third chapter divides the components of Chinese characters into ideograph,phonetic symbol and the mark by investigating the existing research of Chinese characters’ configuration.According to this standard,Chinese characters are divided into separateideographic characters,separate markers,knowing words,phonogram,semi-ideograph semi-marker,semi-phonetic-symbol semi-marker and synthesized markers.Qualitative and quantitative statistical analysis was carried out on them respectively.The forth chapter is the statistical results and analysis of the two types of Chinese characters in Outline A and B.The results show that the most common type of Chinese characters is phonogram,accounting for 42.52% of the total number of them.Semi-ideograph semi-marker took second place,accounting for 21.70%.Subsequently,13.97% of the synthesized markers,8.67% of the separate markers,4.93% of the knowing words,3.49%of the semi-phonetic-symbol semi-marker,and 2.61% of the separate ideographic characters.In the fifth chapter,based on the former chapters,puts forward the idea of using stroke-structure method to teach separate markers and synthesized markers.Using the method of tracing the origin of form and meaning to teach separate ideographic characters and knowing words.Using form-voice group classification method to teach phonogram,semi-ideograph semi-marker and semi-phonetic-symbol which its ideograph can effectively express meanings,phonetic symbol can effectively show pronunciation.And we also provided some teaching models for example teaching,in order to provide direction and ideas for classroom teaching.
