As an epoch-making politician,philosopher,thinker and educator in Chinese history,Dong Zhongshu ushered in a new era of Confucianism.He inherited and carried forward the pre-Qin Confucianism represented by Confucius,Mencius and Xunzi,and put forward the proposition of "dethrone all schools of thought and respect Confucianism",which laid the foundation for the ideological development of China over two thousand years after the pre-Han Dynasty.It can be said that Confucianism established the orthodox position after Dong Zhongshu.In order to draw lessons from the demise of the Qin Dynasty,Dong Zhongshu set out from the practical social problems faced by the Qin Dynasty and Han Dynasty and constructed a set of political and ethical thoughts adapted to the centralized rule and supplemented by morality and punishment.On the one hand,in order to prevent the overpower of the Monarch,on the other hand,the system of "interaction between heaven and human" was constructed to limit the Monarch's power.Dong's political ethics system,besides has the characteristics of the system and comprehensive logic is very careful,this article aims to restore dong to establish his political ethics thought of time background and the social problem at that time,from the metaphysical construct of Dong's political ethics level,theory of human nature and the political practice comprehensively analysis of his careful construction.This paper mainly includes the following aspects:First of all,it discusses the historical background and ideological origin of Dong Zhongshu's political and ethical thought.Dong Zhongshu's political and ethical thought came into being when the art of Huang-Lao was not suitable for the social value demands at that time.Dong Zhongshu's political and ethical thought is based on the Confucian tradition,and has widely absorbed other thoughts of the pre-Qin period.This part is in the first chapter.Secondly,it discusses the main content of Dong Zhongshu's political ethics,which includes the basis of philosophy and metaphysics and the theory of human nature.The author believes that Dong Zhongshu's political and ethical philosophy is based on his theory of the relationship between heaven and man,in which heaven has the dominant significance,which highlights the rationality of divine right of Kings,and the theory of human nature provides the basis for his moral education theory,which is combined with humanism.This part is in the second chapter.Finally,it summarizes the characteristics of Dong Zhongshu's political and ethical thought system and gives us the inspiration,and makes the corresponding evaluation to its historical status.This part is embodied in the third chapter.
