Translation Study Of A.D.hope’s Erotic Poems In The Light Of Jin Di’s Equivalent Translation Theory

As a distinguished translator and researcher of translation studies,Jin Di emphasizes that a faithful translation is neither achieved word for word,nor sense for sense,but message for message and effect for effect.While A.D.Hope,which is considered as one of the best poets in the 20 th century,has great fame in writing poetry and literary studies.With the example of A.D.Hope’s poems,this paper explores the application of Jin Di’s equivalent translation theory into literary translation,especially poetry translation.By taking examples and presenting practical strategies guided by Jin Di’s equivalent translation theory,this paper aims to provide valuable references for literary translators in their practice and improve the literary translation quality on the whole.
