Study On Lexicalization And Grammaticalization Of "Numberal+measure Word"

Taking the Lexicalization and Grammaticalization of "numeral + ban(?)" as a case study,this paper analyses the process,motivation and mechanism of Lexicalization and Grammaticalization of "numeral + measure word ".on the basis of diachronic textual research and synchronic description,explores the access conditions of this structure.Chapter 1,the introduction part defines "numeral + classifier" "numeral + ban(?)" "lexicalization" and "grammaticalization",clarifies the relationship between lexicalization and grammaticalization.What?s more,it combs the relevant existing researches,explains the purpose,significance and method of the research.Chapter 2 describes the basic types of numeral classifier phrases.Based on the statistics,this paper analyses the combination of numerals and "ban(?)".In theory,all numerals can be combined with "ban(?)",but it is slightly different from the actual situation in the corpus.Chapter 3 divides"numeral+ban(?)"into two types:"small number+ban(?)"and"large number+ban(?)".With the help of corpus,Chapter 3 describes the change of"numeral+ban(?)".Meanwhile,the semantic,syntactic and usage frequencies of"wanban(??)","qianban(??)"and"baiban(??)"are compared synchronously.Chapter 4,from the perspective of "decategorization" theory,explores the evolution of the semantic and syntactic functions of "numeral + ban(?)".From the perspective of "decategorization",this chapter describes the performance of "decategoization" from semantic and syntactic features,explores how numeral classifier phrases can be transformed from "quantity" to "degree" through the cognitive mechanism of metaphor,thus providing a new explanation dimension for the lexicalization and grammaticalization of "numeral +ban(?)".Chapter 5,based on the previous research,discusses the Lexicalization and Grammaticalization of "numeral + classifier".In all the structures of "numerals + classifier " which can be lexicalized,"numerals" are maximam et minimam or be with reference of maximam et minimam,and " classifier" often mean maximal,minimal or uncertain quantities.The Lexicalization and Grammaticalization of "numeral + classifier" are not only influenced by the restriction of Chinese prosodic word formation and the change of syntactic position,but also related to the mechanism of metaphor,chunking and subjectivity.
