| Cao Baoping is a film director who has received considerable attention in recent years.He is currently teaching at Beijing Film Academy.Although the number of films directed by Cao Baoping is small,there are only six: Absolute Emotion(2001),Glorious Anger(2004),Li Mi’s Conjecture(2008),Dog 13(2013),Burning Sun(2015) and The Pursuer(2016).However,his works have a profound theme and a distinct artistic style.They radiate humanistic brilliance in the narrative.The images are full of attitudes and temperatures,showing their unique "Cao Shi" color.Director Cao Baoping,relying on his tireless pursuit of film art and high creative enthusiasm,constantly explores the balance between film commercialization and artistry,constantly breaks through and innovates,and brings high-quality film works to the Chinese film market.Director Cao Baoping also has a unique style in the design of his film sound,which is closely related to the particularity of his film story theme,the stylization of narrative techniques and his distinctive aesthetic style.In sound design,Cao Baoping’s film sound has many distinguishing features,such as: a large number of use of dialect and violent language in voice design,narration and monologue;the pursuit of authenticity and presence in sound design;preference for non-mainstream musicians with independent artistic style in music composition...The sound characteristics of these films make the sound of Cao Baoping’s films show a unique style and rich expressive force.This paper takes six films directed by Cao Baoping as research texts,including "Absolute Emotion","Glorious Anger","Li Mi’s Conjecture","Dog 13","Heart of the Sun","The Pursuer" as research texts,and studies the movie voice in Cao Baoping’s films.This paper mainly adopts the methods of literature analysis and case study to study and analyze the sound elements involved in Cao Baoping’s movies.It also tries to summarize the unique style of his movie voice and explore the artistic value of his movie voice and its influence on the current movie voice creation by using the relevant contents of cinematology,acoustics,musicology,aesthetics and communication.New revelation.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which gives a comprehensive overview of the research background(including the personal experience of director Cao Baoping,the overview of film works,the development of film sound and the literature review),the research significance,research methods and research innovation points.In the second section,the sound elements of Cao Baoping’s movies are sorted out,and the sound elements of Cao Baoping’s movies are sorted out and summarized in the most intuitive way from three aspects: voice,sound and music.Chapter three analyses the aesthetic characteristics of Cao Baoping’s movie sound,and probes into the concrete expression of his movie sound in depth with the plot and picture in the movie.Chapter four tries to explore the formation of Cao Baoping’s movie sound style from both subjective and objective aspects.The fifth chapter tries to summarize the value of Cao Baoping’s film sound art,and then carries out ethical reflection on contemporary domestic film sound creation,and explores the development of film sound in a new context. |
