The Research Of Ancient Greece And Rome History In China(1978-1993)

As an important stage in the process of China’s historical development,reform and opening up has played an important role in the study of ancient Greek and Roman history.This topic mainly summarizes the study of ancient Greek and Roman history from1978 to 1993,analyzes the characteristics and trends of the future development,in order to provides some reference for the study of ancient Greek and Roman history in China.The whole article is mainly divided into two parts,the preface and the main text.In the first part,It mainly discusses the research value and sorts out the research dynamics of Chinese scholars.The first chapter is overview the development of Chinese ancient Greek and Roman history before the reform and opening up.It mainly involves the three historical periods :the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the beginning of New China,and the Cultural Revolution.During this period,the ancient Greek and Roman history in China experienced the levels of understanding,initial development,and relative stagnation.The second chapter mainly introduces the general situation of the ancient Greek and Roman history since the reform and opening up to 1993.During this period,the discipline construction has been restored and developed,and a large number of classical works and foreign language materials have been introduced.In addition,the Domestic scholars have also published many research results.Overall,the study of ancient Greek and Roman history entered a stage of initial prosperity.However,it still have many shortcomings.Through analyzes the reasons for the initial prosperity after the reform and opening up,comparing the gaps in the development of Chinese and foreign historiography,and then understanding the favorable and unfavorable factors in the development of ancient Greek and Roman history,and summarizing the future development trends,In order to provide reference for the development of ancient Greek and Roman history research in China.
