Research On Xiebowei Language Thought From The Perspective Of Modern Linguistics Take Xiebowei Book As An Example

Xiebowei(765-796 AD)is a famous Arabic linguist and grammologist.He left behind the first complete grammar work in the history of Arabic language,"The book of Siebowei".It contains a large number of language ideas of Xiebowei,and its influence on language and thought has continued to this day.The research on the language of Xiebowei at home and abroad is limited to a brief introduction of Xiebowei and his works,or a research on a certain part of Xiebowei’s language thought.Therefore,this thesis aims to systematically study the language thoughts in Xiebowei and his works,and make up for the research gaps in the modern Arabic language subject.The main research theory used in this paper is the symbolic system theory in modern linguistics.In the system of symbolic systems,Arabic is a system composed of symbols combining sound and meaning.Starting from the hierarchy of language system,the Arabic language system can be divided into three levels: phonetics,lexical and grammatical.The Arabic language is divided into these three levels for research,systematically and completely researching the language thoughts in Xiebowei and his works,intuitively understanding the symbolic system of Arabic,and profoundly understanding the essence of Arabic.As for the semantic level of the text in linguistics,this article does not study because Xiebowei and his works have not been involved.The result of the research is that Siebowei’s speech thought is: There are different changes occur between the Arabic pronunciation symbols,mainly in the changes between the approximate consonants.In this change,there are consonant substitutions,superpositions,etc.produce.Speech changes are also manifested in changes that occur between approximately voiced sounds,such as softening,replacement,shifting,and addition of voiced sounds.Finally,Xiebowei believes that there will be voice changes between the opposite voices.On the contrary,there may be substitution,deletion and lightening between the voices.Xiebowei’s lexical thoughts are summarized as intra-word changes,that is,a word can be transformed into more words through a series of internal changes.The specific changes are manifested in the addition and deletion of affixes,the conversion of words in words,and words.Internal function conversion.The grammatical idea of Xiebowei is that there is a relationship in the sentence that links each grammatical unit.This relationship is a kind of rule that each grammatical unit in a sentence must follow.The relationship within a sentence can be divided into a meaning relationship and a formal relationship.Formal relations and meaning relations are also in a state of constant change,which can interact and transform each other to form different sentence expressions.The study also proves that Siebowei created scientific language research methods more than a thousand years ago,such as the first attempt to systematically and chapterly discuss lexical and syntactics,follow the general fraction structure,and use analytical methods.Language rules,focusing on the collection of speech material problems,speech and language problems,spoken and written questions,dialect problems and so on.At the same time,the results of the study of Arabic linguistics since Xibowei basically followed the theory of Xiebowei,or merely supplemented,explained or corrected in his opinion.These are enough to show that Sibowei’s language thoughts are advanced in academics and deserve to be deeply understood and studied by today’s linguists and Arabic learners.
