"My manuscript is just a search for my lost time……I bring all that is buried deep in my unconsciousness to court so as to be judged by my own court."This is the writing principle and writing strategy of the contemporary Czech writer Bohumil Hrabal,and it directly appeals to Hrabal’s works,reflected as his "Memory Writing".Therefore,the text will explore the origins of Hrabal’s memory writing,analyze the operation and performance of the written forms based on his memory writing,and by tracing Hrabal’s active "intervention" into society involved in memory ties,which around the text generation driven by memory,in order to reveal the writer’s memory writing practice and the plight and crisis of interpretation as an extreme potential memory.The thesis will be expanded from the following five parts:Chapter one,which is entitled "The establishment of Hrabal’s memory writing",mainly explored and teased out the concept of "memory writing",including the inevitability of Hrabal adopting this writing style.In this paper,memory writing is regarded as an ideographic practice of strategic expression,which is closely related to the subject of trauma.Hrabal takes memory writing as the structure and content of his novels,which is a result of the reverse process of attempting to use memory writing to divide and show the trauma.Chapter two,which is entitled "Hrabal’s memory construction",analyzed the specific presentation of Hrabal’s memory writing in his texts,and how he externalized trauma and memory as an operation of ideographs during the texual production.As a way of expression,memory writing becomes an indicator of trauma,and it is the identification of its meaning expression if the indicator is embodied in text,which is about discourse or structure.In Hrabal’s memory writing,it is mainly reflected in reproduction of memory carries and language structure arrangement.He intends to let the wounded memories be seen by decomposing and "facilitating" memory recognition in memory trauma.Chapter three,which is entitled "memory writing: identity perspective from the historical perspective",analyzed how the thought patterns of memory writing pointed to the suppressed identity and historical trauma,making it become a reference space of reallocating status symbols.Chapter four,which is entitled "Identity crisis under memory writing",mainly examined the construction process of memory writing as a identity symbol in Hrabal’s works.In the existence of memory in the form of potential writing,the existence of trauma makes memory become the accomplice of "identity splitting",thus prompting the identity alienation of Czech people,even making them to achieve self-liberation through violence.This artistic expression became the corn of the "melancholy of eternal structure" of Hrabal’s memory writing.Chapter five,which is entitled "memory writing and practical significance as the identity symptoms",discussed mainly the practical signification of Hrabal’s use of memory writing as a communication mechanism between literature method and psychiatric clinical practice.The memory writing is regarded as a construction of trauma field.It is a reflection of the whole the Czech society field,then reveals and criticizes the power relationship of the suppression made by society.Therefore,Hrabal puts the entire Czech society into his "trial" skillfully by using memory writing,intends to reproduce the dispelled traumatic memories and identity,and access reflection,interpretation and revision.
