Marine transportation plays an important role in international trade. With the introduction of sulfur restriction order, the conversion of shipping.fuel is faced with great challenge. As a clean energy source, liquefied natural gas is crucial to global shipping. The translator finds that there are a large number of "of" structures in the formal research report, some of which have the same grammatical structure but different meanings. The accurate understanding and translation of the structure is of great significance to the information transmission and stylitic reproduction of the original text. Therefore, the translator classifies the "of" structures in the original text in detail, divides them into eight types and summarizes their five pragmatic characteristics. The flexible application of Nida’s"functional equivalence" translation theory provides effective guidance for the translation of the report.During the translation practice,.the main translation techniques of "of" structures employed are summarized as conversion, division, amplification, omission and inversion. As a common structure in the research report, the "of" structure is of great significance to the composition and expression of sentences. It is hoped that the author’s research of"of".structures translation can be helpful to the future translation of similar texts.
