On Heidegger’s Questioning Of Technology

In the 21 st century,with the rapid development of artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies,technical issues have become the focus of human attention.Today,with the acceleration of the pace of technological progress,technology is also entering its own extreme state.Technology is both a well-being and a hidden danger for us,and technical problems are becoming more and more urgent.It is not in the modern era that technical problems have come into focus.Since the end of the 19 th century and the beginning of the 20 th century,technical problems have come into the view of philosophers.In the 20 th century,Heidegger conducted a profound study on the technical issues,especially his thinking and research on the nature of technology,which pushed the technical issues to the peak at that time.Heidegger’s thinking is completely different from the previous technical philosophers.He does not follow the previous thinking to see the problem from the results,but he has a unique approach to thinking and questioning from the technology itself.In today’s technological age of artificial intelligence,Heidegger’s technical thought has very important practical value.It provides us with theoretical guidance and certain reference significance.The article focuses on Heidegger’s question concerning of technology from five aspects:Heidegger’s technological philosophical basis,the nature of technology,the nature of modern technology and the danger brought by the gestell,the way to save modern technology,and the impact of technological thought.The first is the philosophical basis of Heidegger’s technology,namely his existentialist philosophy.Heidegger’s technological thought is closely related to the philosophy of being.Dasein and being are two very important concepts in Heidegger’s philosophy of being,which are two very important concepts in Heidegger’s philosophy of being.Dasein’s forgetting of being is the most fundamental reason for the emergence of technology,and is also the beginning of the source of technology.Heidegger’s technical thought also has a deep origin with metaphysics.In the true sense of philosophy,the essence of modern technology is the same as that of traditional metaphysics,especially Plato’s theory of ideas,Descartes’ subject-object dualism and Nietzsche’s will to power lay a solid philosophical foundation for the emergence of modern technology.The second is the nature of Heidegger’s technology.Science and technology,as fundamental modern phenomena,almost always appear together.Science is a theory about reality.Technology precedes science.Compared with science,technology has the status of origin,the root of science lies in the field of technology essence.Heidegger believes that the nature of technology considered by the vulgar view of technology is far from the true nature of technology.Therefore,Heidegger made an in-depth analysis of the essence of technology from the perspective of ontology(theory of four causes).He thinks that the true essence of technology is a mode of revealing.Ancient technology and modern technology are both revealing.,but one is the revealing of bringing-forth and the other is the revealing of challenging and setting-upon.The third is the essence of Heidegger’s modern technology,namely the gestell and the dangers from gestell.Heidegger analyzes the formation of the concept of the gestell from the perspective of word formation,explaines the connotation of the existence of the gestell as the destining of revealing.Based on this,Heidegger thinks from the seat itself,and analyzes the danger brought by the gestell.As the essence of modern technology,the existence of destining of revealing is a danger in itself.Under the rule of the gestell,the relationship between man and the world is in danger,and man and things have lost their nature and become a kind of standing-reserve.In the search for the way to save the dangerous redemption,the gestell is again questioned.As a continuum in the sense of promise,the gestell is a kind of destiny,and man can participate in the revealing of the world because of the promise.Then there is the road to the salvation of Heidegger’s modern technology.The gestell brings danger to people,but at the same time this kind of danger also exists the growth of salvation,the dangerous place also gives birth to salvation.The gestell contains the rise of salvation.This rise needs to be guarded by meditation.The real relationship between man and being requires us to explore in thinking and find the way to salvation through questioning.Heidegger believed that the formation of truth is art,and all art is poetry in essence.Looking for the real power of salvation in art and poetry and finding the foundation of human existence and its true essence are the way to dwelling in the earth freely and poetically.Finally,the influence of Heidegger’s technical thought is briefly summarized.
