| The new curriculum standard sits on the teaching of English grammar: Teachers should have a clear understanding of the view of dynamic grammar.Grammar teaching should not only pay attention to the rules,but also to the use of formal meaning.Most students’ grammar learning stays in the memory of the rules and cannot really understand grammar’s function.Iconicity in syntax refers to there are some similarities between the language form and meaning.It has three main principles: Iconicity in distance,Iconicity in order,Iconicity in quantity,which can explain the human cognitive experience in syntax structure.Applying it into high school grammar teaching class can help students reduce the burden of learning and increase their interest in grammar.On the other hand,Iconicity can respond to the national English curriculum standards.Teachers could combine grammar knowledge with real life and rebuild student’s language cognition.In order to explore the tactics of Iconicity in syntax in high school English grammar teaching,this study is carried out.The paper uses questionnaire method,interview method and experimental method to study.During the educational experience,two classes was chosen subject according to the last monthly examination results.The author further demonstrated that Iconicity in English grammar teaching has the effectiveness,through the pre-questionnaire and post-questionnaire data,the results of interview,the results of the experiment as data support and analysis the grammar teaching cases.Based on the discussion of Iconicity in syntax by scholars at home and abroad,the research puts forward the strategy of overall cognitive,the strategy of language migration,the strategy of context creation,the strategy of pragmatic Iconicity.The research discusses the grammar teaching strategy and proposes the four-stage grammar classroom under the Iconicity in the syntax: language perception,cognitive experience,consolidation practice,and guide discovery.Iconicity in the syntax can trigger students to think about the cognitive mechanism of language,link the living environment of language students,improve students’ learning ability and cultivate the quality of thinking,reduce the pressure of students to learn English,reduce students’ ability to learn English,improve students’ grammatical sensitivity,and promote the effectiveness of high school English teaching. |
