A Report On The Interpretation For Ingkeer Technology Co.,Ltd.

To build its brand influence and expand the market,Ingkeer Technology Company held a business meeting in April,2019.As an interpreter for two days,the author assisted to introduce the company,the products and the operational process.Selecting the interpretation on the first day as the subject of research,this report attempts to analyze the interpretation for technology industry,sort the key and difficult issues like the interpretation of terms,jargons and complex sentences,and study the application of interpretation strategies.The body of this report consists of four chapters: Task Description,Process Description,Case Analysis and Conclusion,among which the third is the main part.Based on Skopos theory and the Interpretive theory,Case Analysis discusses the application of interpretation strategies such as addition,free translation,conversion,division and reconstruction,explores the causes and solutions of misinterpretation and loss of interpretation,and summarizes some coping tactics with referring to the thinking and some notes by the interpreter during interpreting.The Conclusion covers a summary of the practice,emphasizing the importance of preparation,interpreter’s competence and the commercial purpose of language,and the reflection on the deficiencies in theories and strategies application,preparation,shortterm memory and note-taking,which can be a reference for future career.
