The Inverted Resultative Construction is a special sentence pattern in modern Chinese. This type of sentence semantically describes a complete causal event composed of a causal event and a causal events accompanied by semantic features that produce unexpected and often undesired causal results.Different from the general Chinese verb-conjunction,it uses the subjective argument of the predicate verb as the subject, and the agent or object argument serves as the object. Its syntactic structure is in line with the "uniformity assignment consistency hypothesis"accepted by the academic circle.Against.Inverted verbs have also attracted scholars’ attention due to their uniqueness in syntax and semantics. However, according to the current research results, such special linguistic phenomena have not received enough attention in the academic world. There are few,and the entry points of existing research mostly stay at the syntactic and semantic level, and pay less attention to its unique pragmatic value, and do not make a reasonable explanation of the cognitive cause of the sentence pattern and the law of syntactic transformation. Therefore, this article will take the inversion of modern Chinese as the research object, and comprehensively use relevant cognitive linguistic theories to investigate it as a whole. The full text is divided into five chapters:The first chapter is the introduction, which mainly explains the research object, research origin, research significance, research theory and method, and the source of the corpus in this article. It summarizes and classifies the previous research results based on relevant research results.A rough grasp of the current research trends in the academic world will also lay a literature and theoretical basis for the study of this article. The second chapter is based on three plane grammar theories.Based on a clear definition of the scope and concept of the research object in this article,it examines the Inverted Resultative Construction of modern Chinese from the perspective of syntax, semantics and pragmatics. The main characteristics and the classification of the predecessors are used to refine their categories. It is planned to divide the structure into four categories according to the nature of the subject, and subdivide them within each category. The third chapter examines the inverted verbal form of modern Chinese from three aspects:its formation rationale, formation motivation and internal construction, and further grasps its characteristics from a deeper perspective. We will comprehensively apply relevant cognitive linguistic theories to find the rationale for its formation from both the external and internal aspects of inverted verbs, and we will cut in from both the semantic and pragmatic perspectives, examine the reasons for its formation, and further Dig its internal construction principles. The fourth chapter analyzes the unique syntactic and semantic functions of inverted verbs in modern Chinese on the basis of theoretical research, and then examines different inverted verbs and general verbs,as well as special modern Chinese sentences, and summarize the law of their syntactic changes. The last chapter starts from the principle of practicality and is based on teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Based on the analysis and summary of the previous article,it puts forward the idea of introducing the inverted form of modern Chinese into the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, and then analyzes its feasibility and operability.Corresponding teaching suggestions.
