The Main Ways And Enlightenment Of Cultivating The Core Values Of Confucianism In Ancient China

As an important part of Chinese traditional culture,Confucian culture and Confucian values are one of the ideological resources to cultivate and practice the socialist core values.Therefore,we study of the contents of Confucian core values and their cultivation ways,to cultivate and practice socialist core values of great significance.The core of Confucian values in ancient China was “loyalty” and “filial piety”.The core values of “loyalty” and “filial piety” can be embodied in three aspects: Firstly,in terms of economy,the small-scale peasant economy is the economic foundation of ancient Chinese society.The family patriarchal system based on the small-scale peasant economy determines that the values of ancient China must be centered on “loyalty” and “filial piety”.Secondly,in practice,the values of “loyalty” and “filial piety” are regarded as the core content of their values practice,whether it is the official legal system,propaganda and education system and commendation system,the internal governance and sacrificial activities of the family,or the construction of school rules and learning contents.Thirdly,in terms of the history of thought,many thinkers have demonstrated that “loyalty” and “filial piety” are the core values of Confucianism.Thus,from the above three aspects,we can think that “loyalty” and “filial piety” is the core of Confucian values.There are three main ways to cultivate the core values of Confucianism in ancient China: official,family and school.First of all,from the perspective of ancient official,the main ways of its specific cultivation are legal system,propaganda and education activities and praise model three kinds.In the way of legal system,there are two forms: punishment of “disloyalty” and “unfilial”,and protection of “loyalty” and “filial piety”.There are five forms in the way of missionary activities,such as “hanging law like Wei”,“Shenming Pavilion”,“Jingshan Pavilion”,“drinking ceremony in rural areas” and “making a covenant”.In the way of commendation model,there are four main forms of official position,award,biography and memorial archway.Secondly,from the perspective of the ancient family,the specific ways of its cultivation mainly include the formulation of family rules and family training and ancestral temple activities in two forms.In the ways of family rules and instructions,there are two forms: Making family rules and writing family instructions.In the way of activities in the ancestral hall,there are mainly two forms of environmental decoration and ancestral hall worship activities.Finally,from the point of view of ancient schools,there are two ways to cultivate them: the construction of school regulations and the campus environment.In the construction of school regulations,there are two forms: making school regulations and selecting students’ teaching materials.In the ways of campus humanistic environment,there are two forms: Campus Site selection and layout,and stone tablet couplet.Ancient officials,families and schools infiltrated the values of “loyalty” and “filial piety” into all aspects of people’s daily life through the above-mentioned ways,reflecting the systematic and targeted principles of value cultivation,which played a key role in improving the effectiveness and timeliness of cultivating the core values of Confucianism.The ways of cultivating the core values of Confucianism in ancient China are of great significance for us to cultivate and practice the core values of socialism today.In principle,we should learn from the experience of Chinese ancient society,which put moral education at the core of state governance,and take the cultivation and practice of socialist core values as one of the core tasks of state governance.At the same time,in the practice of cultivating values,we should learn from the principles of systematicness and pertinence in the practice of cultivating values in ancient China,and constantly improve the scientificity of cultivating socialist core values.In terms of concrete ways,the main ways of cultivating values in ancient Chinese society have the following inspirations for us: First of all,we should give full play to the leading role of the official to the core values of socialism.We must always adhere to the unified leadership of the Communist Party of China in cultivating the core socialist values,adhere to the principle of combining the rule of law with the rule of virtue,and constantly innovate propaganda methods and enrich the contents of recognition,give full play to the leading and guiding role of the government to the public.Secondly,we should make clear the main body status of the social basic unit to cultivate the socialist core values.At present,we must give full play to the important role of villagers’ committees and residents’ committees,innovate family communication and education methods,and do a good job in building spiritual civilization and family virtues at the grass-roots level,to integrate the work of cultivating socialist core values into every aspect of daily life.Finally,we should stick to the main position of the school to cultivate the socialist core values.Schools at all levels and all kinds of schools should adhere to the educational concept of moral education and cultivate the position of cultivating socialist core values in an all-round and all-round way through teaching materials,classrooms and campus environment.
