As an ancient country with 5000 years civilization,China has a profound historical and cultural heritage.In recent years,China's international status has been constantly improved.A great contact has been performed on Chinese culture and world culture extensively.Today,as the core part of Chinese culture,Central Plains culture needs to be disseminated and exchange with others.Therefore,the translator chose chapters five and six of the book Interpretation of Central Plains Culture to translate in order to better tell Chinese stories and spread good voice of ChinaThis translation report can be divided into four chapters.The first chapter is the introduction of the background,the source text,and the significance of the task.Chapter two is mainly about the translation processes,including the preparation work,difficulties in the translation and revision.Chapter three is the case analysis.Under the guidance of Skopos Theory,the translator mainly analyzes the key difficulties during the translation from four-character structure,Chinese classics titles and syntactic levels.The last chapter is the summary of the translation task involving gains from the translation practice and deficiencies and possible improvements of the task.Through this translation practice,the translator realizes that she should firstly clarify the purpose of translation purpose and choose translation strategies and methods under the guidance of Skopos rule,coherence rule and faithfulness rule before translation.The Skopos rule runs through the whole text when the translator translates source text.The purpose of this translation task is to let more people at home and abroad know more about Central Plains culture,to provide a reference text for readers who love Central Plains culture for an official translation with a higher quality,so as to promote the protection and inheritance of Central Plains culture.
