Liao Ping was a famous master of Classical studies in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China.With its academic research in the research on the characteristics of "six classics" appeared in the field of classical philology,many scholars view on liao ping’s second change and the third,often overlooked liao ping road entry.Guliang and Ancient Righteousness appeared at the very beginning of the first three changes of Liao Ping’s classical studies,and laid the foundation for Liao Ping’s later "interpreting the Classics with propriety".It is Liao Ping’s first work on the study of the Three Biographies of the Spring and Autumn Period,and has important research value.The characteristics of Guliang and Ancient Righteousness are mainly the "rites" of the interpretation of the scriptures and the association of the classics and history.Among them,the most prominent manifestation of interpreting scripture by "rites" is to prove the ritual system of modern literature contained in Guliang by the Imperial System,and at the same time to illustrate the ritual system by citing the pre-Qin teachers,western Han classics masters and The White Tiger Tong Yi of the Eastern Han Dynasty by Ban Gu.Although Liao Ping divided the boundary of modern and ancient studies according to the ritual system,he did not stick to the scope of Spring and Autumn Studies,but included all the six Classics into the source of annotating Guliang,so as to avoid the situation that he emphasized "embracing the one without the other".At the same time,Liao Ping did not ignore the role of historical facts in the understanding of Confucian classics.He chose Shi-ji family and The Chronology of the Twelve Princes to complete the process of historical events,which made up for the current situation that the interpretation of Confucian classics is difficult due to its fragmentation.From the perspective of ideological content,Liao Ping paid special attention to politics and family ethics in Guliang.Guliang and Ancient Righteousness analyzed the monarch image expected by The Spring and Autumn Annals from the perspective of the principle of succession,the expression form of legitimacy of succession,words and deeds and the place of death.From the rise of the overlord,the relationship between the xia states,and the relationship between the Xia states and the Yi Di states,this paper analyzes the principle of getting along with each other.This paper analyzes the early Confucian doctrine of benevolent government from the perspective of emphasizing the people’s thought and policy.It adopts the method of connecting and comparing before and after,which reflects the praise and criticism of The Spring and Autumn Annals.Guliang and Ancient Righteousness analyzes the political meaning and calligraphy meaning of "respecting",which shows the way of ruling and serving which the Spring and Autumn Annals hopes to establish.The first is to avoid fraternization,the second is to attach importance to the same mother and brother,which reflects a kind of value orientation that combines kinship feelings with social justice.This paper analyzes the status and marital status of women in the Spring and Autumn period,and the requirement of keeping chastity tied women under the family or the king,which shows that the political and social status are quite low.It is analyzed that the thought of revenge in Guliang is more inclined to agree with the idea of revenge,and at the same time,we should choose the right moment to act,even if the revenge should follow the basic principles of morality,instead of acting according to our own preferences.
