| China and Vietnam,as good neighbors for thousands of years, have been increasingly borrowing language while cultural exchanges have continued to increase. From a historical perspective,Vietnam has more than two thousand years of history in using Chinese, and Vietnamese has continued to develop under the influence of Chinese. Therefore, there are many similarities between Chinese syllables and Vietnamese syllables as those as the differences.Affected by the current global "Chinese fever",more and more Vietnamese people have begun to learn and use Chinese again, and this phenomenon also puts higher and higher requirements on Chinese acquisition and teaching. What are the similarities and differences between Chinese and Vietnamese? What impact do these similarities and differences have on Chinese teaching? This subject is worth studying.Syllables are the basic structural unit of speech and the smallest unit of speech that people naturally feel when speaking.Vietnamese foreign language transcription method(that is,the use of Vietnamese syllables to transfer the pronunciation of foreign languages)is a simple method commonly used by Vietnamese to understand foreign languages.Because Chinese syllables and Vietnamese syllables have something in common, many Vietnamese Chinese beginners are accustomed to using this feature, and they often use Vietnamese syllables that are the same as Chinese syllables or similar in spelling to master Chinese pinyin. The errors in pronunciation of Vietnamese students in the process of Chinese acquisition are also different from those of other countries, and these errors often occur and can be followed regularly. In this regard, the author takes403 syllables without tones in the "Modern Chinese Dictionary" as the object, and focuses on Chinese Syllable Teaching Strategies Based on the comparison between Chinese and Vietnamese. In this paper, through the characteristics of syllable pronunciation, the syllables corresponding to the 403 untoned syllables in modern Chinese are found in Vietnamese syllables.Through statistics, classification, comparison, questionnaires and other methods, the actual pronunciation of syllables is compared and analyzed. The results of the study indicate that 59% of Chinese syllables correspond to Vietnamese. These corresponding syllables can be used to replace Chinese syllables;c [ts?],ch [t??],j [?],q[??],k [k?],p [p?],z [ts] are syllables that have no correspondence and resemblance at all. There are syllables which comprise the finals ü [y],er [?],ie [i?],üe [y?],iao [iɑ?],iou [i??],iong [i??],uen [u?n],üan [y?n] are the syllables that resembling to Vietnamese rather than exactly the same.Vietnamese students who make use of Vietnamese syllables corresponding to Chinese to learn Pinyin will easily produce errors.Since then, this article also proposes the difficulty level of learning Chinese syllables and gives teaching strategies of Chinese syllables. The thesis is divided into five sections. The Section 1 is an introduction, introducing the research background, research significance, research methods, and specific reasons for selecting topics and research objects;a literature review, reviewing the previous researches, commenting on the pros and cons of the previous researches, and the innovations of this own research. The Section 2 is the selecting objects for the comparison of Chinese and Vietnamese contrast syllables. The features of the two languages are selected from the similarities and differences between the Chinese and Vietnamese phonetic systems. The Section 3 is the main part of this thesis.Through the comparison of Chinese-Vietnamese syllables, the syllables corresponding to Vietnamese are found among 403 syllables without tones in Chinese, and the similarities and differences of Chinese and Vietnamese syllables are divided into two.The Section 4 is the difficulty level of teaching Chinese syllables in Vietnam. In Section 5,the author provides suggestions for the teaching methods of Chinese syllables based on the comparative classification. The purpose of this study is to help Vietnamese Chinese learners to exert the positive transfer function of Hanyue syllable similarity, reduce the negative transfer effect caused by the differences between the two,and maximize the learning effect of Chinese learners acquiring Chinese phonetics. |
