Individual experience encompasses the consciousness and behavioral activities during individual growth.This term describes the relationship between individual and the external world and serves as an important reference to embody individual growth.From the perspective of artists,individual experience is not only a stimulating factor to promote artistic creation,but also a requisite reference in artistic creation.On that account,a targeted inquiry into individual experience within the scope of creation can facilitate our insight into the occurrence of creation and construct the view on creation.On top of that,it can also contribute experience for actual artistic creation.Drawing on the psychological theories,the following study is initiated by defining the concepts pertinent to individual experience and artistic creation.Furthermore,this paper enquires into the embodiment of the relationship between the individual and the collective in artistic creation,conducts case-based study via influential artists in an effort to probe into what form individual experience takes in artistic creation,as well as summarizes its embodied characteristics.Finally,my own creation process for graduation is elaborated on,so as to further probe into the value of individual experience for creation.This research clarifies the role and influence of individual experience in artistic creation,deepens the comprehension of the influence of collective factors.Besides,via the case-based study on individual creation,corresponding experience of viewing individual experience in creation is thereby achieved,so as to provide reference for individual artists and explore the value of individual experience for artistic creation.Last but not least,such research also facilitates the formation of individual view on creation.
