The learning of English vocabulary plays an important role in English learning.Most of secondary vocational school students are weak in English vocabularies,having low class participation and learning motivation in English vocabulary learning,but they are obsessed with games.Gamification Teaching as a as a new teaching method,respects students’ nature love for games.It is proved to be one of effective ways to promote students’ learning.The author tries to apply Gamification Teaching in English vocabulary teaching of secondary vocational school,and takes advantages of the game’s educational value to solve the dilemma in English vocabulary teaching of secondary vocational school.The author combs the educational values of games and analyzes the research status of Gamification Teaching,combining the current problems and situation of English vocabulary teaching,the students’ cognitive characteristics in secondary vocational school.The study is supported by the hierarchy of needs theory,Cooperative Learning Theory and Flow Theory,with 86 students of 2018 grade in secondary vocational school as research objects.By using experimental method,classroom observation method,questionnaire survey method and interview method,the author conducted a semester empirical study of Gamification Teaching in English vocabulary for the experimental class with 44 students.The study aims to explore the following three research questions:1.How to apply Gamification Teaching in English vocabulary teaching of secondary vocational school ? 2.Can the application of Gamification Teaching in English vocabulary teaching of secondary vocational schools improve the learning effect of English vocabulary ? 3.Whether the application of Gamification Teaching in English vocabulary teaching of secondary vocational schools can improve students’ motivation in English vocabulary learning?In the process of teaching experiment,the author explored and practiced the specific implementation method and process of Gamification Teaching in English vocabulary teaching of secondary vocational school actively.By collecting andanalysing the date of teaching experiment,the author draws the following conclusions:Gamification Teaching in English vocabulary teaching of secondary vocational School can improve the learning effect of English vocabulary and stimulate students’ participation,initiative and motivation in English vocabulary learning effectively.Although there are shortcomings in this study,it is also able to solve the practical problems in English vocabulary teaching of secondary vocational schools in a certain sense.It is an innovation of English teaching method in secondary vocational school and a new attempt in the stage of new curriculum reform.What’s more,this study provide valuable data foundation and teaching inspiration for the coming study of Gamification Teaching.It can play a significant practical role in the promotion of Gamification Teaching in other subjects.
