With the development and progress of human civilization, the ecological crisis has surfaced, increasingly prominent,to mitigate and prevent ecological disasters. To arouse people's attention to the earth and the living conditions of life,Ecological literature bears the obligatory responsibility.Known as the "queen of Canadian literature" Canadian contemporary writers,Margaret Atwood is an outstanding representative of this camp whose mission is to save the planet and the destiny of mankind. She has been writing since 1956,Atwood's works tend to focus on three main themes: feminism, nationalism and ecologism. However, through the collection of a large amount of existing data at home and abroad,I found that most of the domestic and foreign researchers focus on feminism and nationalism. There is still a lack of research on her ecological writing tendency. At the same time, researchers only focus on the independent text, few people regard its series as a whole and study it systematically. This article will focus on Atwood's six novels:The Edible women(1956),Surfacing(1972),The Handmaid's Tale(1985),Oryx and Crake(2003),The year of the flood(2009)and MaddAddam(2010).The ecological thoughts in his creation are systematically and comprehensively sorted out,to fill a gap in Atwood's research.Atwood's ecological thoughts in her works mainly focus on the concrete manifestation of ecological crisis, the root cause of the ecological crisis and solutions to the ecological crisis. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter mainly shows the manifestation of ecological crisis from three aspects: nature, society and human self.On the development course of Atwood's ecological novels,Its understanding is also progressive. The second chapter mainly analyzes the causes of the ecological crisis from two aspects: the paranoia of scientific and technological rationality and the dissimilation of consumption.Chapter three calls for men to recognize the intrinsic value of nature and rational use of technology.Attaches great importance to the language.Value the humanistic spirit.Atwood conveys the appeal of harmonious coexistence between human beings and nature through his literary works.
