Alasdair McIntyre,a famous contemporary western philosopher and ethicist,is constantly struggling to rebuild a more rational moral concept. He tried to get out of the dilemma by reshaping people’s inner character from the micro aspect. This shows the special value of his ideas.McIntyre’s own research spanned more than half a century, covering such fields as political science, religious philosophy, ethics, social philosophy, and the history of philosophy.McIntyre himself has a large number of research works, and the domestic and foreign research on McIntyre is numerous. But most of McIntyre and his views are only understood from the perspective of moral ethicists or communitarian political philosophers, and his thoughts are seldom discussed from the perspective of Marxism. This paper mainly discusses McIntyre’s moral ethics thought from the following three parts and four chapters and his reflection on this thought from the perspective of Marxism. It mainly includes the stage development course of McIntyre’s thought, the Marxist purport of McIntyre’s moral ethics thought and the view of McIntyre’s moral ethics thought in the materialistic historical perspective. In the first chapter briefly reviews McIntyre After I thought process, determine the scope of the research of this paper is After Virtue: A Study in Moral Theory as the core research text, the time periodic McIntyre mature period thought. In this research area, there are different views and views on the internal relevance between McIntyre’s thought and Marx’s thought. In a little bit to explore McIntyre virtue ethics thought of the three aspects of Marxism after unification, and under the historical materialism horizon view McIntyre the emergence and development of virtue ethics, finally put the "based on Marx’s social existence is the foundation of social consciousness McIntyre was studied by the thought of virtue ethics" as the logical starting point of this study. So far clear the starting point of thisarticle. The second part of the text is a reinterpretation of After Virtue: A Study in Moral Theory’s thoughts in the mature period, including the second and third chapters. The second chapter mainly interprets McIntyre’s critique of modernity. This part mainly involves the criticism of ideology, which respectively criticizes the ideology of moral concept and the ideology of social relations. The first section criticizes the modern moral concept, because it makes the wrong setting of the theory of human nature, missing the level of "realizing its essence and possibly being human".This section is specific from the two consequences of emotivism and utilitarianism to criticize. The second section criticizes the social relations of the modern bureaucracy, because they take practice as the practice of pursuing external interests, which leads to the relationship of pursuing external goals as the goal of the bureaucracy. The third chapter discusses the construction of McIntyre’s moral theory,in which the view of human nature corresponds to the critique of the moral concept in the second chapter. The second part is the discussion of McIntyre’s point of view on practice, corresponding to the second chapter’s criticism of modern social relations. The viewpoint of historicism excavates the variability and particularity of human practice. The third part of the text is a reflection on McIntyre’s moral and ethical thoughts from the perspective of Marxism. The main content corresponds to the corresponding parts of the above two kinds, including the human nature and its realization, the deviation of critical social relations, and the research methodology, which explains how McIntyre contains the internal elements of Marx’s thought on these important ideological contents. In this way,the contents of these three chapters are connected, namely,McIntyre’s criticism of modernity,McIntyre’s construction of moral theory, and the Marxist factors involved in the above criticism and construction. These three links together constitute a logically complete analysis.
