This translation practice is selected from Technical Writing 101: A Real-World Guide to Planning and Writing Technical Content(hereinafter referred to as Technical Writing 101).Starting from the need for technical writing talents at the present stage,this book specifically introduces the various qualities and skills that technical writers should have.From the introduction of technical writers to the emerging value of developing DITA;from the acquisition of information to cross-international communication;from the introduction of technical writing tools to the use of extensible markup languages for structured creation.It can be said that the entire book is a detailed guide to technical writing.Technical writing is not only a medium for international technology dissemination,but also an emerging profession.So how to transform its productivity to make technical writing better convey the text intent from the reader's point of view,and then guide the planning and technical writing are the issues to be discussed in this article.This translation practice is guided by Christiane Nord's function plus loyalty theory.It aims to explore the applicability of this theory to guide the translation of informational texts,to provide a new perspective for the translation of informational texts,and to domestic technical writing norms and technical documents.Translation provides inspiration and inspiration.This translation report is divided into four parts,which are translation task description,translation process,case analysis,and conclusion.The first part is a description of the translation task.The author first briefly describes the background of the source of the text and clarifies the meaning of the translation practice.The second part is the translation process,including pre-translation preparation,first draft,revision,review,and selection of translation tools.The third part is a case study of translation practice.It mainly combines function plus loyalty theory to carry out specific case analyses on vocabulary,sentences,and discourse.The last part is a summary of the entire translation practice.The purpose is to summarize and accumulate its own practical experience,and at the same time to inspire and prospect future translation work.
