"Afocentrism" represents the awakening of an "African consciousness",trying to stand in the position of Africans and use their perspective to see and solve problems,its appearance is a powerful impact on the absolute dominance of the original "Eurocentrism" thought.Alice Walker,an African American woman writer,focuses on the vicissitudes of African American Life.Her creation is deeply connected with "Afocentrism" : "Afocentrism" is an important concept for Alice to express her political ideas,and her writing has further enriched the african-american "Afocentrism" theory discourse system.The academic discussion of the Alice Walker focuses on the feminist perspective,but in the process of combing Walker's works,we can clearly see the traces of the theory of "Afocentrism".Based on the study of the meeting and acceptance of Alice Walker and "Afocentrism",this paper expounds the literary expression of "Afocentrism" in her works.The thesis consists of three parts: Introduction,text and conclusion.The introduction gives a brief introduction to Alice Walker's literary creation and the current research situation at home and abroad.Secondly,the text is divided into four chapters.The first chapter focuses on the birth and characteristics of the theory of "Afocentrism",combing the detailed process of its formation in Africa and its later development in the United States Based on Walker's interviews and articles,this paper explores the connotation of "Afocentrism" under Walker's consideration.Through her "womanism",Walker took pride in the black roots on the African continent and emphasized that the nation's history should not be forgotten.At the same time,Walker suggested that artists combine and pass on the outstanding African traditional cultural heritage with various kinds of art,and affirmed the "black beauty" with vitality and amazing creativity.The second chapter analyzes Walker's "folklore" and "black beauty" theme practice,respectively elaborated the folk oral story,Black Medicine and handicraft characteristic folk values It points out the identity of black women as "life artists" and "civil rights protesters",and also praises the kindness and hard-working nature of the older generation.The third chapter focuses on how to use the "Afocentrism" thought as a remedy for the spiritual poisoning of White People's belief in the african-american community.Using animism derived from African traditions,Walker refuted the legitimacy of Christianity and the church,and helped the afro-american community regain confidence by recasting the scriptures.She attributed the image of God to nature and mother through practice,but also focused on the unique black culture of Voodoo magic.The last chapter discusses the Blues in Walker's works from the perspective of the Blues as a black narrative form.Walker makes specific repetitions of the plot and the characters and tries to use poetic repetition to reflect the similarity of the characters 'experiences.In addition,Walker uses the harmonic inflections of the narrators and the rapid conversations between the characters to make the work,like Bruce's music,have the characteristics of and answer.The conclusion evaluates the value and limitation of Walker's literary practice.
