The Edvard Grieg(Edvard Grieg,1843-1907)was the most important Scandinavian composer of the 19 th century and the founder of Norwegian music.Since the middle of the 19 th century, the nationalist movement has swept Europe, and the writers and artists of various countries have pondered how to embody the characteristics of their own nation in their creation,in order to promote their own nation's art to the world.Inspired by Nordrack,Edvard Grieg began walking through the mountains and fields of Norway, embracing the fjords, listening to folk singers and fiddlers from the fjords. He incorporated Norwegian folk tones into art songs and piano pieces, giving Norwegian music its place in 19th-century western music. In the summer of 1865,grigwyn wrote the Piano Sonata in e minor, which was played in concert by the UTEPE music society in the same year. This article carries on the thesis analysis from three parts. The first part discusses the background and characteristics of the work from the perspective of two-dimensional observation of history and art history, and generalizes the origin and style of folk music in Grieg's works. The second part of the work from the internal structure to discuss, respectively from the form, melody, texture, strength, rhythm,to discuss the work of national music. The third part is to help the reader understand EDVARD GRIEG's intention to the greatest extent through the analysis of Norwegian national music through finger touching keys,multi-part melody, rhythm alternation, pedal use and techniques,in order to better interpret the work.
