Filial piety has become the important existence in life, but in the atomized society where human relations are weakening day by day,its status is more urgent and important than before. The Jingming Taoist classic,The Complete Book of Jingming, advocates loyalty and filial piety are the foundation of the Dao.By refining the purity of filial piety,it is close to the goal of becoming immortal. Both Confucianism and Taoism put filial piety in a more fundamental position: filial piety is always the fundamental meaning of benevolence and the fundamental way to cultivate immortals. The difference is that Jing Ming Dao focuses on elucidating the concept of filial piety from the perspective of ceremony, that is,the direction of filial piety in Jing Ming Tao is not the peace of the world at the family level or the political level, but the ultimate immortal Tao.In view of this, this paper firstly takes Jing Mingdao,a branch of Taoism,as the starting point.Jingming Taoism combines Confucian ethics and Taoist theory of immortal cultivation, has both the characteristics of this and the other in the mother culture, and has its own theoretical characteristics. And then, specific to the concept of filial piety, hoping to enhance people’s understanding of filial piety through the study of it,so as to have a clearer understanding of maternal culture. The article is divided into four parts: firstly, reviewing relevant literature and synthesizing theory on Jingming Tao,it provides a lot of convenience for later writing;secondly,to sort out the filial piety in the early Taoist thought from the classics such as Tao Te Ching and Laozi Xiangerzhu;thirdly,by combing the historical development of Jingming Tao and The Complete Book of Jingming,we can analyze the source of its concept of filial piety. Finally,it clarifies the content and structure of Jing Ming Tao’s thought of "filial piety" from two aspects, which are ontology and epistemology. The last two chapters are the most important chapters of this article, which mainly discuss the origin of filial piety in Jingming Tao,and try to solve the problem with the help of Neo-Confucianism and Neidan. In addition, the ontology and epistemology is invoked to clarify the internal ideological structure of Jingming Tao.
