Huang Zi is a famous composer and music educator in modern China,while Zhao Jiping is a well-known composer and educator in contemporary China.Their works cover a widely range of fields.They are all the leaders in the field of art songs.Their works often appear in various concerts in universities.This paper starts with artistic songs with ancient poems as lyrics of the two composers,it adopts the methods of literature review,theory analysis,composition technique analysis and singing practice exploration to compared and analyzed from the aspect of the content and form of lyrics,melody part writing,instrumental part writing.This paper respectively extracts three artistic songs which are relatively famous and comparable between two composers,and then implement the singing technology and style treatment of specific works.In this way,the style characteristics and processing skills of the two artists’ art songs with ancient poetry are summarized.Meanwhile,as a different composer in two eras,their works also reflect the characteristics of Chinese music culture in different periods.Through a comparative study of the creative styles of the two composers,we can more clearly observe the inheritance and innovation of Chinese music in the past century.A deeper understanding of the history of the growth of Chinese art songs,a more detailed study of these works,and a more active dissemination of local outstanding music culture.For a graduate student of vocal music,this is also our duty.
