A Study Of The Narrative Features Of Liu Jiacheng’s TV Series

Director Liu Jiacheng’s works are very rich in subject matter,which involves many aspects such as costume,military,and urban life,but he has not stopped his creative steps until he has formed his own clear Beijing style.His Jingwei series works are based on the well life in Beijing.Although the stories are different,the style and the core are the same.While showing humanity,they also trace the old traditional culture of Beijing.His works have a new exploration of Beijing TV series.This article takes the Beijing-style series directed by Liu Jiacheng as a reference,and comprehensively uses theories such as narratology,feminism,film and TV aesthetics to explore the source of the humanistic connotation reflected in the narrative characteristics of his works.The narrative characteristics of these five TV series directed by Liu Jiacheng in the text are specifically: the narrative structure is based on beaded and contrastive linear narratives,combining its inherent epochal changes with the old Beijing well,fully showing the richness of old Beijing.The breath of life and the distinctive atmosphere of the times;the gradual improvement of the status of female characters has become a unique expression of change;while representing the regional culture in both visual and auditory aspects,the traditional culture of home and country is also expressed in the old cultural heritage The constant changes in the process of interfacing with the new century are manifested,presenting a unique cultural existence.This series of features constitutes the unique artistic expression of these five TV series directed by Liu Jiacheng.This article makes a theoretical study of the narrative characteristics of Liu Jiacheng’s works from multiple angles of narrative structure,female image,and theme presentation,and explores the uniqueness of his TV drama works.The conclusion part summarizes the above chapters and briefly reveals the problems existing in the creation of Director Liu Jiacheng.This has certain reference value for the creators of domestic TV dramas.
