The purpose of this dissertation is to consider China's policy on foreign cinema as a visual medium of mass communication.Cinema of China has gone through many stages of development: from the influence of foreign film groups to their bankruptcy and the revival of Chinese culture in cinema with the opening of their own independent film companies. In recent years,China's cinematic market has been gaining momentum. The Chinese government is actively working on an openness policy and is working with other countries to share cultural experiences. This study examines the interaction of politics and cinema,it also examines the question of why it is necessary to regulate the flow of foreign films, since films annually face problems and go through a filter of censorship and quotas. But despite this, the cinema is developing, becoming competitive and many countries seek to cooperate with Chinese film companies. The paper presents an analysis of foreign films of various subjects aimed at the implementation of certain functions. In the analysis of films that are screened by the Chinese government,we can say that the Chinese like to watch foreign films, especially those that can motivate and raise the national spirit. Many foreign companies, despite the many prohibitions and difficulties, still want to cooperate with China, because the films that appear on Chinese movie screens are waiting for big box office and success.
