Because chinese multi-functional words have the characteristics of cross-speech and many meanings,they have always been the focus and difficulty of foreign students’ word learning.This paper selects the monosyllabic multifunctional word "Quan" which has many grammatical functions of parts of speech as the research object.Based on the exhaustive search of "Quan" in the dynamic composition corpus of Beijing Language University and the corpus of Chinese Linguistics Research Center of Peking University,this paper uses the methods of error analysis,data statistics and questionnaire survey to investigate the acquisition of polysemy word "Quan" by Chinese learners as a whole,in order to provide reference for the teaching of polysemy word "Quan" by Chinese teachers.This paper is divided into five chapters,the main contents are as follows:The introduction of the first chapter mainly discusses the theoretical value and practical significance of the study of the multi-functional word "Quan",the research scope and methods of this paper,as well as the previous literature review of "Quan".The second chapter is the classification of the part of speech and usage of the multi-functional word "Quan".In this paper,the part of speech and meaning of "Quan" in "800 modern Chinese words" and "modern Chinese Dictionary" are re integrated,and 4 parts of speech and 6 meanings are classified.The third chapter is to search and sort the "full" corpus in the corpus of dynamic composition of Beijing Language and Culture University and the corpus of Chinese Linguistics Research Center of Peking University.Comparative analysis from different angles.Chapter four is an analysis of the errors in the corpus of the multi-functional word "Quan".Through the analysis and statistics of errors in the HSK composition corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University,and with the help of questionnaire,the paper further investigates the acquisition errors of "whole".The fifth chapter analyzes the results of the investigation on the acquisition of multi-functional word "Quan" by foreign students,and puts forward teaching suggestions according to the existing problems in the current teaching of multi-functional word "Quan".
