This paper focuses on the macro analysis of ancient city sites in Liao River,Daling River and Xiaoling river basins from Warring States period to Western Han Dynasty.Collect the city site information from Warring States period to Western Han Dynasty through carpet.Analysis and Discussion on the form,scale,age and nature of the city site.On this basis,the location and layout changes,traffic routes and frontier defense system of Liaohe River,Daling River and Xiaoling River from Warring States period to Western Han Dynasty were analyzed and summarized.It is concluded that the abandonment and new construction of the city site have the law of shrinking from the north to the south and increasing from the west to the east.This change was directly related to the change of the defense system of the Great Wall,which was closely related to the threat of the Huns in the north and the occupation of the Korean Peninsula in the east at that time.
