| English course is a compulsory basic course for secondary vocational students.However,the effectiveness of English teaching is not high,so the study of effective English classroom teaching in secondary vocational schools can not only enrich the theory of English teaching in secondary vocational scho ols,but also provide a reference for improving the effectiveness of English teaching in secondary vocational schools,which is of great significance.Based on the research methods of literature analysis,questionnaires,interviews and classroom observatio n,and taking Qujiang Secondary Vocational School as an example,the author studies the current situation,causes and countermeasures o f effectiveness teaching in secondary vocational schools,and found that the average value of English teaching effectiveness assessed by secondary vocational schoo l students is lower than that assessed by secondary vocational school teachers.The effectiveness of secondary vocational school English teachers is not high,which is manifested by the insufficient breadth and dep th of students’ participation in the classroom activities,the lack of organic integration between teachers’ teaching and students’ learning,the separation of teachers’ teaching from students’ reality and the lack of close relationship with real life.It is out of touch with students’ actual needs;teaching methods are single and teacher-centered;students receive knowledge passively;students’ enthusiasm in learning English is not high,and their initiative is not enough.The reasons that affect the effec tiveness of English classroom teaching in secondary vocational schools come from three aspects: teachers,schools and students.Teachers and schools should adopt strategies to improve the effectiveness of English teaching.Teachers should have effective te aching concepts,enhance the sense of teaching responsibility,enhance professional accomplishment and research ability,take students as the center,improve the effectiveness of classroom teaching design,teaching content selection,teaching methods,clas sroom questioning,teaching and learning environment creation and teaching evaluation mechanism application. |
