In the late 1970 s and early 1980 s,not only did China's economy begin to open to the outside world,but also China's art began to accept the new trend of art.Under the influence of many new art trends,German new expressionist painting as a European art school,has had a far-reaching impact in China.It is precisely because of its emergence that Chinese artists can constantly explore new forms of painting,painting language and establish a Chinese contemporary national painting language on the basis of the original German expressionism.The interpretation of German neo-expressionist paintings provides us with rational thinking to study his artistic features,and provides people with a new artistic concept,but also to bring people a different way of thinking and feeling of art.Interpretation of German expressionist painting will be of practical value to the development of contemporary painting theory and practice,and it will be of great inspiration to the creation of contemporary Chinese artists.This paper interprets the artistic features of German neo-expressionist painting,with the development of German art as a starting point.German neo-expressionist painting regards painting as a medium to stand on the world stage again.German neo-expressionist painting is different from German expressionism.From a historical point of view,we find that the division of Germany after World War II and the opposition of ideology and political system,the special relationship between Germany and the United States and the Soviet Union,are the special background of the emergence of German New Expressionism painting.German new expressionist painting artists re-choose traditional painting as a creative medium,for German new expressionist painting is a new painting form,its artistic characteristics are the focus of this paper.The split of German nation after World War II has a direct and impact on German new expressionist artists.The struggle between socialism and capitalism in the post-World War II era was an attitude to the German neo-expressionist artists.Facing the war,history,capitalism and so on at that time,artists created works of art with attitude,so the artistic features of German new expressionism painting are complicated.Taking the representative figures and works of German Neo-Expressionism painting as an example,this paper discusses its artistic characteristics,and analyzes the influence and Enlightenment of German Neo-Expressionism painting on Chinese contemporary oil painting in connection with the current situation of domestic art circles.
