Research On Political Praise Poems In The Book Of Songs

The Book of Songs is an encyclopedic book that reflects the social life of the pre-Qin period.The Book of Songs Political praise poetry has its own theme.It reflects the unique belief of the whole people,the concept of the ruling class,the key content of educating the people,the concern and thinking about life and self in the pre-Qin period.This thesis attempts to systematically and comprehensively study the political tribute poems in The Book of Songs from the aspects of conceptual category definition,text interpretation,form and structure,creative psychology,and embodied ideas from the perspectives of ethnomusicology and psychology.The full text is divided into 5 parts:The first part,The introduction,mainly discusses the topic selection,research object and content,research status and methods.First of all,through the interpretation of the original meaning of “praise” and the new connotation in its development,the concept and scope of the political praise poems in The Book of Songs are defined.Secondly,it summarizes and sorts out the research on the political praises of The Book of Songs.Finally,the topics and meanings,research theories and methods,and innovations of this paper are introduced.The second part,A classification study was carried out on the main theme of political praise poems in The Book of Songs.On the basis of the concepts and scope defined in the previous section,based on the previous research results,these poems are sorted and summarized by analyzing the creative background and applicable context,and the political praise poems are divided into three themes: worship of the gods,the merits of ancestor,and the merits of the king.The third part,The study is about the form and structure of the political hymns in The Book of Songs.It mainly starts from two aspects: the characteristics of poetry with music performance and the way of text expression.Among them,the characteristics of “elegant and musical” in poetry with music performance are presented by the combination of soundtrack,rhythm and lyrics.The way of text expression is mainly expressed in the pattern of repetitive language and the narrative mode of sub-narrative.The fourth part,the author explores the creative psychology of political hymns in The Book of Songs by using the related theory of “personality mask” in the psychology cultural prototype theory.The poets or the poetry community create political hymns under the psychological effect of eulogist’s mask,excellence mask,patriot’ mask and hospitality mask.The fifth part,Investigating the ideological concepts reflected in the political hymns of The Book of Songs.On the one hand,analyzing the ethical concepts advocated in the poems of The Book of Songs from the perspective of the ruler to maintain political stability and social harmony;On the other hand,research is carried out from the ritual and moral education in the Western Zhou Dynasty to analyze the humanistic beliefs and the thinking on life and self contained in the poems.The conclusion part,Summarizing the methods and results of this thesis,and discuss the significance of studying the political praise poems of the Book of Songs.
