On The Artistic And Functional Expression Of Guiding Language In Public Space

Guide system plays an irreplaceable role in the urban public space environment.With the rapid development of economy and city,many new urban public spaces appear in various social activities,such as airports,high-speed railway station,subway stations,city and community squares,parks,zoos,etc.The pace of people’s life in modern society is quickening.Therefore,in a wide range of public spaces,a good guidance and identification system is particularly important.Looking at modern public spaces,the problems of lagging behind and confusion in the design of guidance systems appear one after another in some of them.How to reasonably plan and design the zoo’s guide system in the urban public space to make it functional,characteristic and interesting,to fully realize the artistry and functionality is of great significance in improving the urban function and enhancing the public’s aesthetic appreciation.Therefore,this paper selects this field as the core of research and exploration.The public guidance system is the fusion product of the two.Its functionality brings convenience to the viewer’s actions and is the foundation for the existence of the guidance system.Artistry is the manifestation of the guidance system,which brings people enjoyment of beauty and sublimation of thoughts.The two are not isolated.This paper mainly focuses on three aspects of research and analysis.This paper takes the guide system of Dalian Forest Zoo as the main research object,through on-the-spot investigation,analysis and sorting of the guide system of the zoo,summarizes the problems existing in the guide system,and puts forward the corresponding design practice scheme of the guide system of Dalian Forest Zoo based on the design concept of combining functionality and artistry by comparing the relevant design theories and excellent cases at home and abroad.It is specifically divided into the following five parts:The first part is the introduction of the full text,which mainly introduces the research background,research purpose and significance of the paper,the related research overview of domestic and foreign guidance systems and the related concepts of guidance systems in public space.The second part classifies the guidance systems,summarizes the current planning and distribution of guidance design,and analyzes the manifestations and characteristics of functionality and artistry.The third part,on the basis of theoretical research,through the analysis of the current situation of Dalian Forest Zoo’s guidance system,concludes that the zoo’s guidance system has some problems,such as lack of cultural connotation,unobvious guidance function,disjunction between artistry and functionality,and insufficient care for vulnerable groups.The fourth part puts forward systematic design countermeasures based on the problems summarized above.The focus is on the combination of functionality and artistry,i.e.the display of visual guidance function,the embodiment of artistic charm and the demand of humanized design.The fifth part is conclusion and prospect,summarizing the research achievements and shortcomings,and looking forward to the future development.
