| With the deepening of educational informatization reform,artificial intelligence,Internet plus,big data,cloud computing and other technologies have emerged,which are active in education and teaching.Among them,virtual reality technology can make the abstract learning content concretized into the virtual environment by creating a virtual learning environment and cooperating with the game-based teaching method of educational games,which reduces the requirement on the transfer ability of learners and can be better applied to English teaching.At present,there are many researches on English teaching of virtual reality technology or educational games in China,but there are few researches and applications on the combination of these two technologies.Based on this,this paper applies a VR educational game created in the classroom of English teaching in junior middle school to provide reference for the theoretical and practical research on VR educational games in China.Through the exploration of theory and practice,this study illustrates the value of VR educational games applied in junior high school English teaching.The research consists of the following five parts.Chapter one is the introduction,which introduces the background and significance of this research,summarizes and compares the domestic and foreign research status with the overall development of educational games,VR teaching and English teaching.Then four questions are put forward and several research methods are introduced.The second chapter is related concepts and theoretical basis.In order to provide the results into practice of theoretical guidance,this section sums up the education games,virtual reality technology,the basic concept of junior middle school English teaching,and then mainly from the VAK learning style theory and flow theory,situational teaching theory,cognitive theory,deep learning theory,humanism theory and other related theory to design and develop VR education games.The third chapter is the design and development of VR educational games.This section focuses on the analysis of learning situation in VR education game design,including the analysis of learners,demand analysis and teaching analysis.Then,a VR educational game named "In Order To Dr." is developed according to the design principles,and the introduction of the case development involves the architecture of the game scene and the design of functional modules.The fourth chapter is the application of VR educational games in English teaching in junior high school.Junior high school students are selected as the experimental subjects and the teaching software is applied to English classroom teaching.By means of classroom comparative teaching experiment,teacher-student questionnaire survey,teacher interview and other methods,and by means of SPSS and NVivo and other software to analyze the data,finally draw a conclusion and give corresponding suggestions.Chapter five is the summary and prospect.This section summarizes the whole thesis research,gives the research value of this research,and puts forward the research prospect and potential development direction. |
